About
I am an Assistant Professor at Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen, specializing in speech science, cognition, and computational modeling of speech.I investigate how we produce, perceive, and acquire speech using a "modelling as physics of minds" approach.
Computational Modelling: I build mechanistic accounts of vocal learning by combining 3D articulatory synthesis with deep learning architectures.
Neurophysiology & Behavior: I test these models against human data using a suite of methods, including fMRI, ERPs, and invasive SEEG.
Applications: My work translates fundamental speech science into better tools for language teaching, speech therapy and multilingual language technology.
